Derelict Frigate - Floor 04 Blockout


This is the block out of the 4th Floor of the Derelict Frigate. This is the Bridge, war room, and Captain's Quarters. The boss on this level is the Pirate Captain. This floor is optional and is only needed to complete the secondary objective of freeing all the slaves.

Derelict Frigate - Floor 01 Blockout


This is the block out of the Derelict Frigate Floor 01. This is the second floor that the player goes to. This is the mechanical underbelly of the ship. The boss in this area is the Mechanic, which uses robots to fight the player.

Here is the block out of the Second Floor of the Derelict Frigate. I have not put in any objects, lights ( except the Directional light for testing ), or any final art. Now to start on the other floors.

Space Frigate Level - Floor 4

This is the 4th and final floor of the frigate. This is where the final slave is and the final boss. The player must move their way to the bridge and then kill the Pirate Captain. Once the Pirate Captain is defeated the player gets the access codes to the Captains Quarters where the final slave is waiting to be released. Once the slave is released the player makes their way back to the ship.

Space Frigate Level - Floor 3

This is Floor 3 of the Derelict Frigate. This floor is where main objective the player is. The player will make their way to the far side of the ship and fight the boss. Once the boss is killed the player receives the access codes for both the Med Lab and the 4th Floor. The 4th floor is optional and just for completing the side quest, saving slaves.

Space Frigate Level - Floor 1



This is the bottom floor of the Frigate. The player will need to make his way through this area to reach the other side, where the Bandit mechanic is. The Mechanic is the boss for this floor. Once the player defeats the mechanic the elevator on that side of the ship is accessible, and the player can proceed to Floor 3.

Space Frigate Level - Floor 2


This is the starting floor for this level. The level is suppose to be a derelict frigate that has become a haven for bandits and pirates. The playable area consists of four different floors. This is the second floor which consists of Hangars and storage rooms. The player will be guided by lights through the level, but they have the choose to go through the floor anyway they want. Also the guidance only leads them to the main mission. For the side mission the player must explore.

In this layout the green rectangles are doors, most doors are unlocked to start with. The only doors that are locked are the two doors leading to the elevators, you need to defeat the boss to have access to one of the elevators and the other elevator is broken. The red rectangles are enemy groups. The enemies mostly fight in medium to large groups. The blue circles are the side mission. The side mission is completely optional, and in tails the player freeing slaves. The greenish line is the path that the player will be guided through, but this only goes to the main mission. The burgundy rectangle is the boss area.

This areas boss is a slave leader. He is a basic boss that just attacks the player from a far, and will do a melee stun attack. The boss brings in allies to help fight. Once the boss is killed, you get the access codes to the elevator so the player can go to floor 1.

Starting a Sci Fi Scene

Here is a start to a Sci Fi scene that I plan to do in UDK. I plan on creating a layout of a small-to-medium sized ship, and then creating the inside. The ship that I am thinking of trying to make is going to be a small cargo ship. These are the start of two of the environmental pieces. The tall, skinny piece is going to be a pillar, I plan on making several variants of the pillar. The other piece is a wall piece. As with the pillar I plan on having multiple variants.
